Jhonie Vasquez is a Colombian tattoo artist born in Medellín, Colombia. He came to Melbourne in 2019 in search of new experiences in the social and cultural field that could help him grow and motivate his artistic level, with a focus on tattooing.
Jhonie began his career working in lettering and neo-traditional style tattoos. As he explored further and gained more experience, he developed a strong interest in black and grey work, without losing sight of other styles like Japanese, geometric, dotwork, and colour realism. Living in Melbourne has pushed him to understand new tattooing techniques, which he continues to apply to sharpen his artistic level day by day.
